Dog Bowl Concert Weekends
Dog Bowl Concert Weekends bring together two distinct 5 Points Outdoors experiences at Black Dog Salvage: a Saturday evening feature concert and a paired Sunday Legendary Brunch & Benefit fundraiser.
Together, these weekends create space for live music, community gathering, accessibility, local partnerships, family-friendly outdoor experiences, and meaningful nonprofit impact — all in one shared setting.
The Dog Bowl Concert Series is a seasonal outdoor live music series in Roanoke, Virginia, hosted at Black Dog Salvage.
Why Dog Bowl Weekends Matter
Dog Bowl Concert Weekends are designed as more than a concert calendar. Each weekend connects a Saturday feature show with a Sunday community-centered brunch and benefit experience that helps expand the impact of 5 Points Outdoors.
A New Chapter for 5PTS Outdoors
The Sunday Legendary Brunch & Benefit series grows out of the spirit of 5 Points Music Sanctuary’s earlier Legendary Biscuit Sessions — intimate gatherings built around live music, food, and mission. This expanded format carries that idea forward in a larger outdoor setting at Black Dog Salvage, creating more room for discovery, accessibility, and shared experience.
Music, Community, and Impact
Each Sunday event brings together live music, brunch, vendors, kids activities, and a featured regional nonprofit partner. These benefit events are designed to raise awareness, create connection, and help direct meaningful support back into organizations doing important work across our community.

Community and Impact
Each Sunday Brunch & Benefit event is designed to support a regional nonprofit while creating a memorable outdoor experience rooted in music, access, and connection.
How the Benefit Model Works
Nonprofit partners are invited to share their work, connect with guests, and build support for their ongoing efforts through event visibility, on-site presence, storytelling, and community engagement. The goal is not just to host a concert, but to create a platform that supports both awareness and fundraising.
That means each Sunday carries real purpose alongside the music, giving guests a chance to enjoy the day while also learning about and supporting organizations doing important work across the region.
Built for Shared Experience
This initiative continues to grow from earlier 5PTS community programming and prior partnerships with organizations like The Bradley Free Clinic and Carilion Clinic Foundation. Whether guests come for the music, the brunch, the nonprofit mission, or simply to spend time outdoors, each Sunday is meant to feel welcoming, connected, and intentional.
Accessibility, hearing loss advocacy, community partnership, and nonprofit visibility remain part of the larger vision that makes these weekends distinct.

There is a parking lot available across 13th Street from Black Dog Salvage. Enter from 13th Street and exit through the rear of the lot onto Cleveland Avenue. Parking is limited, so we encourage guests to carpool, bike, scooter, or walk the greenway when possible.
