The Ramble Festival

Overview

We coordinate reasonable accommodations with festival operations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Advance requests help us plan staffing, routes, viewing areas, and other resources.

Services We Commonly Coordinate

  • Accessible parking & drop-off coordination
  • Shuttle / golf-cart rides (as terrain and safety allow)
  • Mobility device charging & basic repair triage (as available)
  • Wayfinding, check-in support, and on-site assistance

Programs & Services

Mobility Services

  • 5PTS Mobility Support — Mobility support may include shuttles for patrons with disabilities or mobility considerations (as terrain and safety allow). Additional support is available for helping ADA guests with parking and shuttling gear to camping sites.

Experiential Enhancements

  • 5PTS Soundpack — Integrated wireless hearing & haptics sound system for guests with hearing impairments and sensory sensitivities.
  • 5PTS Art-Strument Station — Courtesy Habitat ReStore in Roanoke, VA, we will have free instruments for kids to decorate and take home with them including mini guitars, melodicas, accordians and more,
  • 5PTS Sensory Relief Zone — Guests who may be experiencing sensory overload can relax in a calm and comfortable lounge near our 5PTS Accessibility & Viewing Deck. Additional sensory friendly items and programming is available. 

Hearing Loss Advocacy

On-site advocacy and education to support hearing health and inclusive listening experiences.

5PTS Ear Protection (Free)

  • Children (3 months–6 years): Ear muffs
  • Kids (7–13 years): Hi-fidelity ear plugs
  • Adults (13+): Free ear plugs

Who can request services?
Patrons with disabilities and their companions.
What information should I include?
Describe your needs, dates you’ll attend, and a reliable on-site phone number.
Are service animals allowed?
Trained service animals are welcome. ESAs are not recognized under ADA.
Can I charge my mobility device?
We aim to provide limited charging access. Please bring your charger.
