To everyone who nominated us, came to a show, played our stage, volunteered, supported our mission, or helped spread the word over the years, thank you. This recognition belongs to all of you too.

5 Points Music

5 Points Music Sanctuary believes live music should be accessible to everyone. This weekend at Rooster Walk Music & Arts Festival, that mission is once again taking center stage!!

As part of the festival’s accessibility efforts, the 5 Points team will be on-site throughout the weekend helping create a more inclusive experience for attendees of all abilities. From coordinating ADA transportation and accessible viewing spaces to providing hearing protection and sensory support resources, the work is centered around making sure more people can comfortably experience the music, art, and community that make Rooster Walk special.

Outdoor festivals can be challenging environments to navigate, especially for guests with mobility limitations, sensory sensitivities, chronic health conditions, or hearing impairments. Through its accessibility programming, 5 Points helps bridge those gaps by offering practical support and creating spaces where attendees can fully participate in the festival experience.

A major part of that work includes the accessible viewing area and support tent, where festival goers can connect with staff, learn about accessibility resources, and explore merch that directly supports the organization’s mission!! The team will also continue promoting hearing health awareness and inclusive live music experiences through their accessibility initiatives and assistive listening technology programs.

While much of accessibility work happens behind the scenes, its impact is everywhere. From the transportation assistance, accommodations, and support systems that help make festivals more welcoming for everyone.

For 5 Points Music Sanctuary, this work goes beyond a single weekend. Supporting accessibility at Rooster Walk is part of a larger commitment to building a music community where more people can connect through live events without unnecessary barriers.

We are now booking vendors for The Dog Bowl at Black Dog Salvage. Each event brings together live music, food trucks, and a steady flow of people who are there to hang out, explore, and support local businesses!!

What to Expect

Vendors are set up along a high-traffic marketplace area woven into the event. Guests move between the stage, food, and vendor tents, giving you consistent visibility throughout the day.

You’ll be positioned near the action, with a clear view of the stage and surrounded by other local vendors and food spots. It’s an easy, natural environment to connect with customers and showcase what you do. The Dog Bowl is a great fit for vendors offering handmade goods, art, or even organizations focused on community impact.

A Shared Mission in Sound and Service

For more than six decades, the Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center has provided essential services that help people of all ages in the Roanoke Valley communicate more effectively. The organization offers speech therapy, audiology care, hearing evaluations, and support that can have a profound impact on everyday life. Through skilled professionals and a commitment to accessibility, RVSHC works to improve quality of life by removing barriers to communication.

At 5 Points Music Sanctuary, our work also centers on sound and accessibility. Since 2017, 5 Points Music Foundation has operated as a nonprofit venue and community partner with the mission to pursue the power of sound, using live music to support music therapy, hearing loss advocacy, and accessibility initiatives across Southwest Virginia. The inspiration for this mission came from personal experience with hearing loss and a belief that music should be experienced fully by people of all abilities.

Both organizations understand that sound and communication are fundamental to connection and community. Our missions intersect in meaningful ways, grounded in support for communication, accessibility, and shared experience.

Second Chance Prom on March 14, 2026

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 6-10pm, 5 Points Music Sanctuary will host the Second Chance Prom. This fundraising event organized by RVSH offers a “second chance” at the traditional prom experience, reimagined for the community. Guests can expect an evening of music, dancing, and a refined, celebratory atmosphere, all in support of a local organization making a lasting impact.

Tickets: $75 per individual, $125 for two

How to Participate

There are several ways to support RVSH:

  • Purchase a ticket at https://givebutter.com/c/hu3ljt
  • If you are unable to attend, consider making a donation at the same link
  • Share the event link with friends, coworkers, and others in your networks

Fundraisers like this reflect the way community institutions and residents can work together to strengthen the Valley’s social and cultural fabric. Supporting RVSHC through this event helps ensure those services remain available, and it aligns with the values we uphold at 5 Points Music Sanctuary: that sound, connection, and accessibility belong to everyone.

We hope to see you there.

Celebrating 9 Years of 5 Points and Looking Ahead to Our Annual Dinner

This past week marked nine years of 5 Points Music Sanctuary, and as we look back, it’s almost impossible not to feel a little emotional about how far this space and the community around it, has come. What began as a vision to create an accessible, purpose-driven music venue has grown into a vibrant gathering place where concerts, weddings, community events, and music therapy programs all live under one roof.

Where We Started

When founder Tyler Godsey first stepped into the historic building that would become 5 Points, it was full of potential, but also in need of vision, restoration, and community support. From day one, the mission was clear: build a space where music directly supports music therapy and accessibility programs, ensuring that the arts remain open and meaningful for everyone.

Early days meant folding chairs, minimal staging, and a lot of hands-on volunteer work. But even then, what the space lacked in polish, it made up for in heart and soul.

Where We Are Now

Nine years later, 5 Points Music Sanctuary has become one of Roanoke’s most unique cultural venues—hosting national touring artists, local performances, weddings, nonprofit fundraisers, community gatherings, and life-changing music therapy programs. Every event held here continues to help expand accessibility initiatives and strengthen the region’s arts community.

The transformation you see in these before-and-after moments represents more than renovations. It reflects thousands of hours, countless performances, and a community that chose to believe in what this space could become.

Join Us February 25 for the Annual Dinner

As we celebrate nine years of growth, we’re excited to gather once again for our Annual Dinner on February 25 (rescheduled from January). This evening is one of the most meaningful nights of the year—bringing together supporters, artists, and community members to celebrate the mission that keeps 5 Points moving forward.

Guests can look forward to:

  • A welcoming social hour
  • Dinner service featuring our announced menu selections
  • A brief program highlighting milestones, stories, and the impact of our music therapy and accessibility work

(For full event details, including the complete run of show and menu, please refer to our previous event announcement.)

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the sponsors, donors, and community partners whose generosity makes the Annual Foundation Dinner and so much of what happens at 5 Points possible. Your continued belief in this mission strengthens our ability to create meaningful experiences, support local artists, and keep this historic space active as a place where people can gather, connect, and celebrate the power of music together.

Anniversaries naturally invite reflection, but they also remind us why the work continues. Every ticket purchased, every private event hosted, every donation, and every volunteer hour helps ensure that music remains a powerful tool for healing, accessibility, and community connection.

We hope you’ll join us on February 25 to celebrate how far we’ve come, and help us take the next steps forward together.

Here’s to the first nine years of 5 Points Music Sanctuary, and to many more still to come!!

Why Couples Choose 5 Points

Our venue offers a unique mix of atmosphere and flexibility that works beautifully for both ceremonies and receptions.

A One-of-a-Kind Space: Originally built as a church, the sanctuary features soaring arched ceilings, hardwood floors, and an elevated mezzanine overlooking the main floor, a stunning setting for vows, toasts, and dancing.

Flexible Layouts: We can accommodate seated ceremonies, cocktail-style receptions, or a combination of both, with room for up to 200 guests depending on layout.

Built-In Amenities: A full bar area, professional lighting and sound capabilities, ADA accessibility, and nearby parking make planning easier for couples and guests alike.

A Team That Knows Events: Our staff works closely with couples, planners, and vendors to make sure timelines, layouts, and logistics come together smoothly.

Picture-Perfect Moments

From your first look to your last dance, 5 Points offers countless photo opportunities.
