Deaf Blind Awareness Week is June 26-July 2!

In 2022, we are celebrating Helen Keller DeafBlind Awareness Week from June 26th to July 2nd. The focus this year is Diversity and Inclusion: Creativity and Innovation are built upon a diverse group of perspectives. Who better to help initiate that innovation than the DeafBlind community, a group of people whose lives are driven by the pursuit of change and innovation?

THE DEAF BLIND COMMUNITY HAS LEARNED TO SHIFT THEIR PERSPECTIVE.
HAVE YOU?

HKNC is the only national agency that provides information, referral, support and a Comprehensive Vocational and Rehabilitation Program exclusively to youths and adults who have a combined hearing and vision loss, to their families and the professionals who work with them. Thank you for your support.

How did DeafBlind Awareness Week come about?

This national advocacy campaign has been held each year since 1984 when then President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation in recognition of this special week.
