ToNY CaMM & The FUNK Allstars is a high-energy “psychedelic funk circus” hailing out of Central Virginia, with a touring show that features covers of George Clinton, Parliament-Funkadelic, funky renditions of Grateful Dead tunes, top Pop hits, R&B and Hip-Hop favorites and their own originals.

BLACKSBURG DJ PYRITE TO OPEN FOR ANTENNAE

Up-and-comer on the east coast circuits, Pyrite has been able to assemble the reputation as one of the best DJ’s in Virginia. When you get the chance to catch Pyrite live be ready for a high energy journey through the world of bass music. Preferring dubstep, trap, and house tunes, his skills cover a range of genres and he also possesses an impressive ability to cater each individual set to the attending audience. Whether he’s starting the night off for one of the biggest acts in the world, or headlining a sold-out show in the DC, Virginia, Maryland area, one thing is for sure: Pyrite will make you dance. His ability to express emotion through music is unparalleled and it translates incredibly both live and in his own creations.

JOHN KADLECIK w. Dog Rocket Blues Band

We’ve been fortunate to host John Kadlecik solo, as well as part of the powerhouse band Melvin Seals & JGB. March 28th will be exactly 2 years since he first took the stage with us and we look forward to many more.

John Kadlecik is a singer, songwriter, and musician who can play most string instruments but is primarily known for being a guitar-slinging sideman to Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir in the band Furthur. Also an original co-founder of the group Dark Star Orchestra, John has been performing improvisationally-oriented shows regularly since the late 1980’s and touring nationally for the last 20 years. His work also includes several studio releases of original music.

FRANKI’S FAREWELL BURLESQUE

Join Out of Body Burlesque as we give a fond farewell to founder and local favorite Franki Boom-Boom! This will be a celebration of the years of burlesque joy that has been brought to the Roanoke area and the continuance of her and the OBB journey into the future!

The biggest show yet, Franki’s Farewell will be hosted by Momo-A-Gogo with music from DJ Shenanikenz and will feature ALL of the badass burlesque babes you’ve come to lust for. Expect performances from Polaris Van Samus, Minnie De’Vil, Crystal Lake, Bebe Demure, Tabbie Athame, Jett Black, Miss Meccakhan, Caza Blanca, Rusty Dawn, Leia Lovecraft, Cosma Nova, Lilith Von Bunny, Stevie Von Cougar, Honey Yvonne, and of course Franki Boom-Boom!

STRANGE MACHINES TO OPEN FOR PTF

Boston-born, New England based quartet Strange Machines have been steadily making a name for themselves in the East Coast jam scene. A true melting pot of musical fusion, with sounds catering to funk, livetronica, rock, reggae and a multitude of other genre’s, all while stringing them together seamlessly to create a fluid and captivating live performance. Their original songs are nuanced by creative composition, practiced precision, and a looseness that allows them to truly explore the music they create. Strange Machines have carved out their own niche in the east coast music scene and beyond and show no signs of slowing down.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: KEVIN MUSIC

If you’ve been to a show lately, you may have noticed some changes to the Sanctuary hall. If you’ve been to a show at all, you may have noticed Kevin. Our spiffy new paint job comes courtesy of volunteer and long-time patron Kevin Music of Eagle Eye Painting. He scaled to new heights to add a little polish to the place and we think it looks AMAZING! LAZY BULLDOG FOOD TRUCK IN MARCH!

We’ve been really excited to partner with Lazy Bulldog Food Truck for our shows this year. You’ll be seeing and enjoying delicious burgers from Chef Brandon and Erika throughout the month of March. The Sanctuary doors open early at 6:30pm every night Lazy Bulldog is here so you can relax and fuel up before shows. Our Happy Hour Special runs until 7:30p and features Parkway Brewing Co.
