Coming to the show? It’s time to find out what order the bands will play! Tickets are still available, but going FAST. Come support your favorite!

SATURDAY: NORA JANE STRUTHERS w. SHE

Nora Jane Struthers’ new album comes out Friday and she’ll be bringing it along with her THIS SATURDAY to 5 Points Music Sanctuary. “Bright Lights, Long Drives, First Words” was largely inspired by the birth of baby Annabell with husband and band mate Joe Overton. Struthers represents the best of what popular country music can be with solid songwriting and no clichés. A couple of the new singles can be found online with premieres on Rolling Stone and American Songwriter. Watch a video from her last album “Champion” below. Or just go ahead and grab your tickets to the show. Nothing beats the real thing!

The SHE Collective will be represented by Jane Gabrielle performing a solo set, and Floyd County singer Brittany Sparks with catherine the great on guitar. SHE is a group of female, nonbinary, and gender-expansive songwriters in the Roanoke Valley and neighboring areas, who strive to uplift each other’s work, and create safe and supportive spaces for original work by marginalized voices.

JON STICKLEY TRIO w. David Via

Jon Stickley Trio is a genre-defying and cinematic instrumental trio, which combines Stickley’s innovative flatpicking guitar with the sultry-spacy melodies of Lyndsay Pruett on violin along with classically trained and heavily jazz influenced drummer Hunter Deacon to create textural soundscapes.

“It’s not your father’s acoustic-guitar music—although Stickley’s pop showed him his first chords when he was 12 years old. Instead, Stickley’s Martin churns out a mixture of bluegrass, Chuck Berry, metal, prog, grunge, and assorted other genres—all thoroughly integrated into a personal style,” writes Guitar Player Magazine.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: ROB HUMPHREYS

5 Points Music Foundation continues to thrive thanks to our incredibly talented friends and patrons. We couldn’t have redecorated the hall with festive banners without the very tall Rob Humphreys on his very tall scaffolding! Rob is a great supporter of the venue and even brought King Cakes to celebrate Rebirth Brass Band on their recent visit. A big, giant THANK YOU to Rob for making it happen and keeping it happening here at The Sanctuary!

Do you have a skill that could benefit our venue? Track us down at at show, email info@5pointsmusic.com, or call us at (540)795-5618.
