5 Points Partners with JDRF for Fundraiser

Recently, 5 Points Music Sanctuary hosted the annual JDRF fundraiser, “Greater Blue Ridge Concert 4 A Cure.” On October 25, the event was live streamed as part of the fundraising effort, and it was a huge success. The Concert 4 A Cure featured Kyle Forry & Justin Arnett, McFadden & Friends, and Corey Hunley with Matt Powell. The event surpassed the original goal of $10,000 in donations!

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is leading the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D) by funding research, advocating for policies that accelerate access to new therapies, and providing a support network for millions of people around the world impacted by T1D.

JDRF has changed the way people live with T1D. More is learned every day about the disease in an effort to end it once and for all. From funding innovative research to advocating for government action to providing a support structure for our community, no other organization does more to fight type 1 diabetes (T1D) than JDRF.

Their research investments deliver on the promise of making life with Type 1 Diabetes better. They’ve championed technology with that goal in mind, from the first engineered insulin 40 years ago to recent advancements like artificial pancreas systems and more.

JRDF’s powerhouse team in Washington, D.C., works with volunteers across the country to secure government support for innovative Type 1 Diabetes research. Meanwhile, their experts collaborate with regulators and health plans to help the entire community benefit from treatments and therapies.
